This is the heartwarming moment kind residents gave food to soldiers manning COVID-19 checkpoints in the Philippines. <br /><br />Laire Cipriano and two of her friends drove to the barricade being used to enforce a coronavirus lockdown in the city of Cainta in Rizal province, Philippines on March 20.<br /><br />They then handed a ''care package'' to the squaddies working through the night to help contain the spread of the pandemic in the country.<br /><br />Laire Cipriano said that they appreciate the hard work of the officers so they thought of giving them a small gift. <br /> <br />She said "We want to be able to help even in small ways like this. The more you give, the more you are blessed." <br /><br />The Philippines has 462 declared cases of the coronavirus and 33 deaths. Officials have implemented lockdowns that prevent people from leaving their cities and curfews to contain the virus.
