The military was called in on Tuesday (March 24) to disinfect the main hospital in the southern Spanish city of Almeria.<br /><br />Members of the Military Emergencies Unit (UME) were seen wiping down lifts and other surfaces inside and outside Torrecárdenas hospital.<br /><br />Official figures show that 2,696 people have now died in the country from coronavirus and close to 40,000 are infected.
