Footage shows how the normally busy airport in Bangkok has been deserted amid the ongoing coronavirus lock down.<br /><br />The passenger was flying from the Suvarnabhumi Airport to Chiang Mai in the north of the country last Saturday night (March 21).<br /><br />There used be hundreds of passengers in the departure area but it was empty on that day.<br /><br />The traveller said: "It was such an awkward silence. I did not think that Bangkok airport would ever be this quiet."<br /><br />Thailand has introduced a travel ban which prevents tourists from entering the country without COVID-19 travel insurance and a certificate from a doctor.
