The Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER) has recommended for the movement control order (MCO) to be extended until April 28 to ensure a sustained zero Covid-19 cases in Malaysia.<br /><br />The institute made this recommendation in a posting on its official Twitter account today, with an attached copy of an extract from a MIER analysis of the pandemic’s trajectory, dated March this year.<br /><br />“Based on this, an extended MCO of minimum 14 days till April 14 to allow for no new cases reported, or a maximum 29 days till April 28 to include an additional 14 days to ensure a sustained zero-case presentation,” the extract read.<br />
