Philippines' authorities prepare food parcels for residents in financial difficulty amid COVID-19 lockdown

Footage shows authorities in a lockdown city in the Philippines preparing supplies of food for stricken residents.<br /><br />There have been fears that due to the strict community lockdown, curfew and travel restrictions many locals who are now unable to work will be unable to afford food<br /><br />Paranaque City local government sent sacks of rice, canned goods, and other instant food packs from a warehouse to thousands of homes on Wednesday (March 25).<br /><br />In the video, volunteers are seen packing the food into bags so they can distribute them to the people struggling to cope with the restrictions.<br /><br />The city, which is inside the capital region Metro Manila, is under lockdown until April 14. Residents are also subject to curfews and rationing.
