Authorities in the South African city of Cape Town are erecting tents for homeless people to live in during the coronavirus outbreak.<br /><br />South Africa is under a 21-day lockdown with people being asked to remain indoors.<br /><br />The city's homeless, who can't self-isolate, are being given the "safe spaces" which include access to sanitation. <br /><br />According to local councillor Zahid Baderodien, the first site will accommodate between 250 and 300 people with more set to open in the near future.
