Indian officials in Jorhat district shot a leopard in self-defence after it entered a villager's home on March 30.<br /><br />After one of the villagers saw the leopard he alerted the family and they rushed out of their home. Forest department officials were later called.<br /><br />According to a forest official officer they tried to protect both leopard and residents and the leopard was shot by an official in self defence as it was aggressive.
