A pensioner was shocked after finding a huge python strangling his pet cat.<br /><br />Boonrak Chaibuppha, 65, was in his house watching the news when he heard the moggy squealing for help last Saturday (March 28) afternoon.<br /><br />He went into the kitchen of his home in Bueng Kan, northeastern Thailand, and saw the 13ft long reticulated python.<br /><br />The frantic pensioner pull the snake tail to make it stop strangling his cat. The snake let go of the pet but it had already died. <br /><br />The rescue team arrived at the house and found the 13ft python coiling in the corner inside the house. <br /><br />They used the snake catching rod to hook its head and pull it outside the house before moving it to the crate.<br /><br />The pensioner said he was concerned after hearing his cat yelping much louder than usual.<br /><br />He said: "The cat's cries disturbed the sound of the news on TV and it was strange so I went to look at it. It was terrible seeing my cat being killed.''<br /><br />The rescuers carried the python with them back to their office and will hand it over to the national park officer to release it back to the wild.
