Conservation officials in Betul, India, managed to rescue and relocate a Russell's viper after it was swallowed and spat out by a much larger Indian spectacled cobra.<br /><br />Residents called local officials on March 28 after they found the pair of snakes that are both highly venomous and Adil Khan, a snake rescuer, arrived on the scene.<br /><br />After 45 minutes the cobra finished its meal and began to throw the viper back up. According to Adil, snakes bring up their food if they are in danger.<br /><br />Adil was shocked to find the viper was still alive after being swallowed by the cobra and he then rescued and relocated the snakes to safe places.
