Walmart is due to begin enforcing social distancing in its stores to fight the coronavirus pandemic.<br />According to Business Insider, Walmart stores will allow no more than five customers for each 1,000 square feet of space.<br />To ensure a lower human density in the stores, Walmart employees will stationed at store entrances and will count customers to admit them one by one.<br />The average Walmart store is about 180,000 square feet.<br />By that calculation, there should be no more than 90 customers in an average-sized store at any one time.<br />Walmart has designated a single entrance and a single exit for each of its stores so that all arriving customers will filter through one entryway.
