중증 코로나19에 혈장치료 효과<br /><br />Two patients in South Korea have recovered from the coronavirus after receiving blood plasma treatment.<br />The Journal of Korean Medical Science revealed today that two elderly patients with preexisting illnesses were cured using the treatment at Yonsei Severance Hospital.<br />The plasma treatment involves taking blood plasma from recovered COVID-19 patients, and infusing it into current patients so that the antibodies in the plasma can fight the virus.<br />Kwon Joon-wook, deputy director of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said that plasma treatment guidelines will be announced within days.<br />With a vaccine for COVID-19 at least a year away, plasma treatment has been getting attention as an alternative cure.<br />
