한국외대 학생들, 코로나19 예방수칙 29개국 언어로 번역<br /><br />If you can't understand the language, it's harder to get the information you need.<br />But, no need to worry if you're in Korea.<br />College students here have translated the COVID-19 prevention guidelines into 29 different languages for those who don't speak the Korean language.<br />Our Jang Tae Hyun reports.<br />Students from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies have translated the COVID-19 prevention guidelines into 29 languages.<br />Around 70 students from the university took part in the translations to help foreigners living in South Korea.<br />Students translated the contents into as many languages as possible and got them checked and approved by their professors afterwards.<br />"The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention already offers English and Chinese versions. So we translated it into other languages based on the majors in our school."<br />Student translators were glad that they could use their skills to help the public.<br />"I've realized that many Indonesians are not familiar with the ways to prevent COVID-19. I was wondering how I could inform them and decided to translate the guidelines for them."<br />"I think it’s right to help people when you can help with the languages that you have already learned."<br />These translations will help non-Korean speakers understand what to do to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.<br />And these translations will also be sent to the Korean government.<br />"I think it should be something done by the government. I am a student, I get it from my university, but I guess there’s a bunch more other foreigners that are also living in Korea that don’t have school translating it for them..."<br />From Spanish and Russian to Zulu and Vietnamese, the translations can be found on the university student council's pages on social media like Facebook and Instagram.<br />Jang TaeHyun, Arirang News<br />
