구세군 기부된 마스크들 사회 서비스 종사들에게 배포<br /><br />Last month, we reported about the Salvation Army's campaign to collect extra masks from people to distribute to others who need them.<br />The masks they collected are now being delivered to workers across the country.<br />Our Kim Do-yeon reports.<br />The Salvation Army started delivering the donated masks and filters to community workers on the front lines on Tuesday.<br />These workers include street sweepers and other sanitation workers who help disinfect public places.<br />The Salvation Army decided to give them the masks because they have no time to buy their own while working longer shifts.<br />Today, they're at Sadang Station distributing masks to the people who clean and sterilize Seoul's subway system.<br />Each worker will receive 4 masks, 2 filters and a note from the donors .<br />And it was clear the gift was appreciated.<br />"I thank them for donating. I also take it as their way of asking us to work harder."<br />The Salvation Army says the response has been more than they expected.<br />"We're trying to show love to the workers, but when we see their smiles, it's like we're the ones who're loved."<br />Last month, asking people to donate face masks, they twice set up donation booths on the street and accepted donations via mail.<br />Just in face masks, more than 14,000 were collected,… and many people sent extra mask filters, hand sanitizers and cash.<br />The Salvation Army will hold another collection campaign next month on their website, this time to help mom-and-pop stores by buying food from them and delivering it to struggling low-income households.<br />Kim Do-yeon, Arirang News<br />
