정 총리 "무단이탈•전화불응 자가격리자 전자 손목밴드 착용"<br /><br />To better contain the coronavirus in the country, South Korea will use electronic wristbands on people who violate self-quarantine measures.<br />At a government briefing on Saturday, South Korean Prime Minister Chung Se-kyun said the decision comes after the number of self-quarantine violators continues to rise...as some violators go outside without notice and don't answer phone calls.<br />The new measure, however, will only apply to those violators who agree to it.<br />Despite concerns that the new measure may violate human rights, Chung highlighted that the latest act is much needed and necessary to stop the spread of the virus.<br />On top of the electronic wristbands, the government also plans to strengthen the monitoring of people in self-quarantine by regularly checking up on them.<br />
