미국 50개 주 전체 재난 지역으로 지정,...사망자 세계 1위<br /><br />In the United States, now the country hardest hit by the coronavirus, disaster has been declared in all 50 states.<br />The U.S. death toll is now the highest in the world.<br />And in Europe, the UK is seeing the sharpest rise in daily new infections... while Spain seems to be slowing down.<br />Lee Kyung-eun has the latest.<br />The U.S. now has the highest number of COVID-19-related deaths in the world.<br />As of Saturday local time, there were more than 20-thousand deaths, outnumbering the figure in Italy for the first time.<br />In total, the U.S. has more than half a million cases.<br />Every state in the U.S. has now declared a disaster.<br />The state of Wyoming became the last one to do so on Saturday.<br />The first was New York... 22 days earlier on March 20th.<br />Disasters have also been declared in Washington, D.C., as well as Puerto Rico and Guam.<br />All these places will therefore be entitled to support from the federal government.<br />CNN reports that it's the first time that all 50 states have been under disaster declarations simultaneously.<br />Over in Europe, as of Friday, the number of COVID-19 cases has exceeded 8-hundred-thousand.<br />The continent's highest rate of new infections is currently in the UK, which on Saturday confirmed more than 5-thousand... and whose death toll is approaching 10-thousand.<br />Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who was confirmed to have the virus in late March, is reportedly in a stable condition after being discharged from intensive care on Friday.<br />In Spain, the pandemic seems to be slowing down.<br />The number of new fatalities fell for a fourth straight day to the lowest it's been since March 23rd.<br />Spain has therefore decided to ease its lockdown, allowing workers in construction and manufacturing to return to their jobs starting Monday.<br />Lee Kyung-eun, Arirang News.<br />
