軍, 코로나19에 병사 영상통화 한시적 허용…'스트레스 해소'<br /><br />Because of social distancing, the South Koreans serving their compulsory military service have not been able to take leave or recieve visitors since mid-February.<br />So, to relieve the strain of isolation, the military says it's temporarily allowing enlisted service members to use video call on their smartphones during off-duty hours and on weekends.<br />It was just last year that soldiers were first allowed to use their smartphones, but for security reasons, video calls, bluetooth and GPS were turned off.<br />The military expects this will greatly boost communication between soldiers and their friends and family as the nation battles the pandemic.<br />
