Coronavirus Causes Damage to Organs <br />Other Than the Lungs, Doctors Say Doctors are finding significant damage <br />in both the kidneys and hearts of patients <br />who have contracted the coronavirus. There has also been reported <br />damage to the intestines, problems in <br />the liver, neurological difficulties and blood clots. Researchers say the damage done <br />is too great to be explained by the immune <br />system response known as the “cytokine storm." The "cytokine storm" refers <br />to when the immune-system launches <br />an attack on the body. Doctors stress that more data <br />is essential to provide diagnoses for the <br />number of health issues they've encountered <br />while treating COVID-19 patients.
