S. Korea's PM to deliver second virus-relief budget speech at National Assembly

국회 본회의, 총리 추경 시정연설,... 재난지원금 논의 본격화<br /><br />South Korean Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyn will ask lawmakers Monday for their bipartisan support for the government's supplementary budget bill aimed at cushioning the economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic.<br />In a speech to the National Assembly, the PM will explain the scope of the six-point-two billion U.S. dollar extra budget bill as well as the need to execute it as soon as possible.<br />The finance ministry previously announced the new budget will be used to financially support families of four or more in the lower 70 percent income bracket with a one-time payment of 820 dollars.<br />The second extra budget since the COVID-19 pandemic would come on the heels of the 9-point-6 billion dollar relief package that passed the assembly last month.<br />
