The residential areas in the vicinity of the Kuala Lumpur wholesale market have been placed under the enhanced movement control order (MCO).<br /><br />Barbed wires have been placed from the entrance of the wholesale market near the Batu Caves temple roundabout up to the Sri Murni apartments.<br /><br />Police and soldiers were seen manning roadblocks at every junction, ordering scores of people who wanted to enter the area to head back home.<br /><br />Armed Forces chief General Affendy Buang and his entourage left the area at about 1pm.
