The Indian army in Kashmir rescued a top government official and his driver after their vehicle was buried by an avalanche on April 21.<br /><br />An Avalanche Rescue Team managed to dig out the buried vehicle from the snow and broke the windshield to rescue the trapped passengers.<br /><br />According to an eye witness, the avalanche was just short of rolling the vehicle down the cliff.<br /><br />Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Karnah, Bilal Mohudin Bhat, was pulled from the vehicle and given immediate first aid treatment.
