정부, 동해북부선 강릉~제진 철도건설사업 추진하기로 결정<br /><br />A project to help connect South and North Korea by rail has received a legal exemption, allowing it to skip doing a preliminary feasibility study.<br />In a meeting on Thursday, the Inter-Korean Exchange and Cooperation Promotion Council recognized the railway construction project between Gangneung and Jejin on South Korea's Donghae Northern Line as part of an inter-Korean exchange and cooperation project.<br />This means it is legally exempt from having to do a preliminary feasibility study, enabling the envisioned railway to be built more quickly.<br />The project is in line with the Moon administration's new economic plan for the Korean Peninsula.<br />
