Dermatologists are saying a person’s foot may show early signs of coronavirus.<br />Many asymptomatic people are reporting the presence of painful purplish lesions on their toes.<br />According to HuffPost, “COVID toes” are typically painful to touch and may have a hot burning sensation.<br />The Academy Of Dermatology has launched a registry in order to track the toe lesions.<br />The registry is designed to show if the lesions are a true indicator of COVID-19.<br />Some physicinas theorize the lesions are a sign the virus is causing inflammation in the body.<br />Others, however, think the virus is inflaming the walls of blood vessels, resulting in “vasculitis.”<br />A third theory is that the lesions are caused by blood clots.
