용산기지 반환 절차 중 환경조사 5월중 재개... 일관아닌 단계적으로 반환<br /><br />The government's environmental survey of the Yongsan Garrison... to determine the decontamination costs of the U.S. military base before its return to South Korea... will resume next month.<br />An official from Seoul's Defense Ministry said the return process, which started last December, ...has been stalled due to the coronavirus outbreak.<br />To speed it up, the ministry said South Korea and the U.S. have decided to shift from their blanket approach to proceed with surveying non-essential parts of the base that have been shut down or moved to Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek.<br />22 U.S. bases including parts of Yongsan Garrison have yet to be returned.<br />
