A family were terrified after finding a huge king cobra coming towards them in the living room.<br /><br />Resident Nikom Dangnham, 47, was with her family in the living room when they all saw the snake slithering across the tiles inside their house in Krabi, southern Thailand.<br /><br />The family ran out of the house and contacted the rescue team to come and catch the huge serpent on April 24.<br /><br />Rescuers found the 13ft long king cobra under a spare car axle being kept in the corner of the room.<br /><br />The rescue volunteers took only five minutes to catch the 44lbs serpent and put it in a sack. <br /><br />The relieved house owner said it was the biggest king cobra she has ever seen.<br /><br />She said: "I have seen some king cobras before but not this big. It might have come from the jungle to escape the hot weather and find a cooler place with food to eat. However, I'm glad it's going back now.''<br /><br />The rescue team took the snake with them and released it back to the wild far away from the village.
