On Thursday, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said she believes and is standing by Joe Biden.<br />Reuters reports that Pelosi gave a forceful defense of Biden.<br />It came as some within her party urged Biden to directly address a woman’s sexual assault accusation against him.<br />Biden's campaign already has denied the accusations.<br />Tara Reade accused Biden of harassing and forcibly penetrating her with his fingers in 1993.<br />The allegations have been corroborated by two friends of Reade's and a CNN video from 1993 where her mom called Larry King asking for advice.<br />Still, Pelosi is not wavering in her support of the former Vice President.<br />“He is the personification of hope and optimism and authenticity for our country - a person of great values,”
