A small plane crashed in a rugged area near Hemet, southern California on Thursday (April 30) killing the pilot.<br /><br />An investigation has been opened to determine the cause of the crash. <br /><br />Aerials filmed on Thursday show debris from the twin-engine Piper PA23 and emergency crews at the scene. <br /><br />The pilot was believed to be the only person aboard.
