Dramatic footage shows an avalanche slowly descending a steep terrain in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. <br /><br />The incident took place near Pangi village in Kinnaur district on April 30.<br /><br />According to reports, people were working in the apple orchards when they suddenly heard sounds of thunder coming from the hills.<br /><br />Following this, they spotted thick ice descending the hill slope towards the village.<br /><br />According to sources, the construction of a highway and the excavation due to a power project on the mountain range could have triggered the avalanche.<br /><br />The incident left several orchards destroyed.<br /><br />No casualties have been reported after the incident.
