The novel coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic has left thousands of cruise ship crew members stranded on cruise ships around the world.<br />According to Business Insider, most have been stuck on the ships for well over a month, and have no idea when or how they'll get home.<br />Most of the crew members on seven Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line, and MSC Cruises remain trapped on their respective vessels.<br />Leaked emails reveal two crew members died on a ship in April. One died from "cardio-respiratory arrest," and the other died of pneumonia.<br />What's more, the majority of them aren't accruing wages despite being still stranded on board, aside from those performing essential tasks.
