US states are beginning to let nonessential retail stores reopen, though many must operate at a limited capacity.<br />But according to Business Insider, it's largely unknown whether shoppers will show up once they're able to.<br />A recent Deloitte survey revealed only 34% of Americans said they would feel safe going shopping right now.<br />Retailers are scrambling to create strategies to reopen stores while encouraging hygiene and social distancing.<br />At Macy's, frequently visited areas like fitting rooms and bathrooms will be cleaned more frequently and more visibly.<br />Both Macy's and Best Buy will require employees to wear masks while at work, and will remind shoppers to maintain social distancing.
