Kroger, the largest US grocery chain said Monday that it will make COVID-19 testing available to employees.<br />The parent company of Ralphs and Harris Teeter said testing will be available "based on symptoms and medical need."<br />The announcement comes just days after protests erupted over the company's handling of the pandemic.<br />According to Business Insider, workers rallied outside a California Ralphs location on May 1.<br />The Hollywood grocery store has had 21 workers test positive for the coronavirus.<br />Kroger has not provided any details about its plans to expand testing to asymptomatic employees.
