Disney Loses $1.4 Billion From COVID-19 Closures

According to Reuters Walt Disney Co. is taking a big financial hit due to coronavirus. <br />So far, they have lost $1.4 billion dollars, mostly since closing their global theme parks in March. <br />They've also lost out on the film side, with movie theaters going dark, and television and film production halted. <br />Disney’s ESPN sports network was left with no major live sports to broadcast.<br />Three months ago the entertainment giant shared that its movie studio had a record year and that they had a strong start to their streaming service, Disney +. <br />According to Reuters, Disney will likely take a larger financial hit in the current quarter, which ends in June.
