An experienced snake catcher helped to rescue a fierce snake that had slithered inside a family's front yard to shelter from the rain.<br /><br />Reptile handler Thanadon Noonoi rushed to his neighbour's house to help them catch a copperhead rat snake in Phang Nga, southern Thailand on May 2.<br /><br />Footage taken by his friend Thaktirat Konta shows Thanadon looking for the wild animal that had hidden itself under the kitchenware. He then grabbed the serpent before taking it into a sack with his bare hands.<br /><br />Thanadon said: "I came here not to harm the snake, I only wanted to save its life. It will be taken back into the woods where it belongs to."<br /><br />A copperhead rat snake is one of the nonvenomous species of colubrid, so called "Ngu Taang Mapao" in Thai. They are found throughout Southeast Asia and are harmless to humans.
