The World Health Organization is warning countries emerging from restrictions to proceed “extremely carefully".<br />The organization is concerned about the risk of a rapid rise in new cases related to the easing of restrictions.<br />Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said countries need to ensure they have tracking systems and quarantine provisions.<br />“The risk of returning to lockdown remains very real if countries do not manage the transition extremely carefully".<br />Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus<br />The highly contagious disease has infected over 3.8 million people in the world, with over 265,000 deaths.
