Business Insider is reporting that Costco saw a decline in its monthly sales for the first time in years.<br />On Wednesday, the company said that sales during April were "negatively impacted" by COVID-19.<br />"Stay-at-home orders, social distancing restrictions, and some mandatory closures led to decreased traffic and sales."<br />The warehouse chain had previously experienced a surge in sales throughout February and March.<br />In February and March customers flocked to stock up on essentials in order to prepare for the looming lockdown.
