Staff at Gladesmore Community School in Tottenham, north London are making face shields for NHS staff and front line key workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic.<br /><br />Footage from inside the school on Thursday (May 7) shows the manufacturing process. <br /><br />Over a thousand face shields, which comply with the personal protective equipment standards, have been delivered to local care homes in Tottenham and Newham University Hospital. <br /><br />According to local media, manufacturing was led by technology teacher, Colleen Jose, as staff from other subject areas tried their hands at operating equipment, including a laser cutter.
