A team of Indian vets was forced to run for it recently when a wounded wild elephant they were monitoring charged them without warning. <br /><br />The injured animal was reported to the forest department by local residents in Gudalu in southern India in mid-April.<br /><br />A team of officials and vets located the animal and began to treat it by feeding it fruit laced with medicine. <br /><br />On a routine visit on April 26th, the team was filming the elephant when it charged suddenly.<br /><br />The vets were forced to sprint away to avoid being trampled by the trumpeting creature. <br /><br />Fortunately, the animal abandoned its chase and wandered back into the jungle. <br /><br />According to officials, the elephant has now made a full recovery.
