The Department of Health (DOH) on May 8, Friday, said the country already has a total of 10,463 coronavirus disease cases.<br /><br />Based on the latest case bulletin, the DOH reported 120 new COVID-19 cases nationwide. Of this, 84 were detected in the National Capital Region, 28 in Central Visayas, and eight in other regions.<br /><br />The Health department also announced 116 new recoveries among COVID-19 patients. There are now 1,734 patients who have recovered from the dreaded disease.<br /><br />Meanwhile, COVID-19 has claimed 11 more lives, bringing the country’s death toll to 696.
