A farmer was horrified after finding an albino python swallowing one of his roosters.

The panic-stricken poultry breeder rushed outside when he heard the rest of the birds crowing with fear on Wednesday morning (May 6).

On the ground next to the freshly-raided pen was a stodged 6ft long Burmese python with a dead chicken in its mouth. Only the bird's feet were protruding from the python's deadly jaws.

The snake was mid-way through devouring its lunch when the emergency services arrived at the farm in Nakhon Ratchasima, northeastern Thailand.

Footage shows the reptile struggling with its feathered snack as the rescue team look on from a few feet away. They then carefully dislodged the bird and returned the snake to the wild.

The chicken farmer said: "I went into the coop to feed my roosters and I noticed there was a lot of noise. I noticed one of them was missing so I feared the worst. That's when I found the snake outside with one of my birds.''
