A restaurant in China was temporarily closed and issued apologies after a cook allegedly spat into food in the kitchen.<br /><br />CCTV video, shot in the city of Xi'an in Shaanxi Province on May 10, shows a cook allegedly spitting onto food in a pan while cooking in the kitchen of the Sufuji restaurant.<br /><br />A customer reportedly found a cigarette inside a dish and requested to check the surveillance camera. The cook was then caught allegedly spitting int the food during cooking.<br /><br />The cook explained that he was not feeling well recently and meant to spit on the floor, and not the food during cooking.<br /><br />The restaurant has been suspended for internal rectification and issued a letter to apologise.
