Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Yasin Malik condemned the attack on a telecom outlet in Sopore town of Kashmir in which one person was killed and two others injured, terming it as a terrorist act. Expressing "sorrow, grief and surprise" over the attack, the Hardline Hurriyat Conference leader said "It is purely a terrorist act and whoever is involved in this, is the enemy of Islam and humanity and he want to defame the freedom struggle of the Kashmiri nation."
