ಕಾರ್ಬನ್ ಡೈ ಆಕ್ಸೈಡ್ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಸೊಳ್ಳೆಗಳು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ವಾಸನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಬಲ್ಲವು. ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ಬೆವರಿನ ವಾಸನೆಯಲ್ಲ, ನಮ್ಮ ಚರ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಿತ ಸ್ಕಿನ್ ಮೈಕ್ರೋಬೈಯೋಮ್ ಎಂಬ ಬ್ಯಾಕ್ಟೀರಿಯಾಗಳ ವಾಸನೆ ಕೂಡಾ ಬೆರೆತು ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಒಂದೊಂದು ವಾಸನೆ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ವಾಸನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀನ್ಸ್ ಕೂಡಾ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೆಲವರು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗಾಢವಾದ ವಾಸನೆ ಹೊಂದಿರಬಹುದು. ಸೊಳ್ಳೆಗಳ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆಗೆ ಈ ವಾಸನೆ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಅವು ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಚ್ಚುತ್ತವೆ. <br /><br />Mosquitoes can detect changes in carbon dioxide in their environment.
