The FBI seized the cell phone of North Carolina Republican Sen. Richard Burr and served him with a search warrant.<br />Burr and a family member are being investigated for selling stock after receiving classified updates on the pandemic.<br />According to Business Insider, sources say agents first obtained access to Burr's Apple iCloud account.<br />Agents then used the information they discovered on iCloud to obtain the warrant for the senator's phone.<br />Burr is the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and has access to the most classified and sensitive information.<br />Burr's committee was getting daily briefings on the threat of the coronavirus around the time he dumped his stock.<br />Burr dumped up to $1.72 million in stocks on February 13.<br />The massive sell-off came days after reassuring the public that the U.S. was prepared to handle the COVID-19 pandemic.
