According to Gizmodo new studies suggest that summer heat and humidity won't stop the spread of coronavirus. <br />With weather warming up in the Western hemisphere, experts say that people should continue to social distance through the heat.<br />Peter Jüni, a clinical epidemiologist at the Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto said “The message is simple: Summer won’t help us to resolve this problem.” <br />A Canadian Medical Association Journal study found that differences in temperature and humidity had little bearing on the coronavirus’ progression, rejecting preliminary research that said otherwise. <br />Jüni said that the new study is much more rigorous.<br />MIT’s Sloan School of Management and China conducted similar studies that align with The Canadian Medical Journal's findings— heat won't stop the spread of COVID-19.
