Huge ice blocks were spotted on a river in Huzhong District, China's coldest town when the outdoor temperature was above 20 degrees Celcius.

The abnormal phenomenon, filmed at Huzhong Nature Reserve and provided by local media with permission on Monday (May 15), shows the more than one-metre-high ice blocks on a river, while photographers examine them.

Since the altitude of Huzhong District is high, the ice will not completely melt until June every year.
