Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam in Kevadia colony in Narmada district on Sunday. PM Modi performed Narmada aarti and offered prayers to at inauguration site.<br /><br />Sardar Sarovar Dam is the world's second-biggest dam after Grand Coulee Dam in the United States. The dam is 1.2 Km long and 163 meters deep. It has two power-houses, river bed powerhouse and canal head powerhouse with an installed capacity of total 1,700 MW.
