Dr. Manny Alvarez called President Trump's announcement that he's taking hydroxychloroquine "highly irresponsible."<br />According to Business Insider, Alvarez is a contributor on Fox News' health team.<br />Trump announced on Monday that he has been taking the controversial drug for 10 days.<br />Dr. Alvarez questioned why the president was taking the anti-malaria medication as a coronavirus prevention method.<br />Experts have said the drug is not proven to be an effective treatment for the coronavirus.<br />Dr. Alvarez also asked why the White House physician would prescribe the experimental drug.
