정부 "5•24 대북제재조치 실효성 상실…교류협력에 장애 안 돼"<br /><br />Sanctions imposed on North Korea for sinking a South Korean warship in 2010 no longer pose a threat to inter-Korean cooperation.<br />That's according to the Unification Ministry which told reporters Wednesday that previous administrations had loosened the so-called 'May 24 Measures' to the point where large parts were no longer effective.<br />The Lee Myung-bak administration had imposed sanctions which banned North Korean ships from entering South Korea waters and prohibited visits to the North except to Gaeseong Industrial Complex and Mount Geumgangsan.<br />This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Cheonan warship attack that killed 46 sailors.<br />
