발병 142일만에 500만 감염시킨 코로나19…신규감염은 중남미 최다<br /><br />As some countries begin easing strict distancing guidelines and look to reopen their economies, reported COVID-19 cases around the world topped five million on this Thursday.<br />According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the global death toll now stands at over 328-thousand.<br />Though several countries in Asia and Europe seem to have reached the peak of their outbreaks, countries in Central and South America are seeing theirs get worse.<br />Brazil has had the second highest daily number of new cases next to the U.S.<br />The WHO said Wednesday the number of newly reported COVID-19 cases worldwide hit a daily record this week with more than 100-thousand new cases over the last 24 hours.<br />
