The sky turned black in Beijing at around 3:30pm on Thursday (May 21) when a major rainstorm hit the city.<br /><br />In footage of the city, provided by local media with permission, heavy black clouds are seen clouding over the skies.<br /><br />The sky eventually cleared and became brighter gradually from around 4:30pm as the rain became lighter.
