환자복 운송에 살균까지...코로나19 극복 앞장 의료용 로봇<br /><br />To fight the coronavirus pandemic, South Korea has been deploying robots to take people's temperatures and disinfect hospital rooms.<br />Not only does this protect hospital staff, it's expected to lead to further developments both in robotics research and applications.<br />Park Se-young has more.<br />Coronavirus patients fill the halls of hospitals in Italy, but there's a severe lack of medical staff.<br />Other countries like Spain also face a lack of medical personnel as well as continued infections among the staff members.<br />In Korea, sterilization robots that use environmentally-friendly ultra-violet light for disinfection will be deployed in negative pressure hospital rooms.<br />Transport robots can not only deliver hospital gowns but also help move medical devices.<br />"Because we need to minimize the risk of infections among medical staff, we think robots can help prevent the overloading of medical professionals in the case of non-face-to-face services."<br />Robots are expected to be increasingly utilized …as they can help medical personnel with disinfection and quarantine tasks while reducing the risk of infection.<br />And robots equipped with artificial intelligence are expected to help develop new medicines.<br />Park Se-young, Arirang News.<br />
